1. The best moment that you remember is…

Tz.P.: 9 September 1994 – The 16th World Mining Congress

B.K.: There are lots of best moments! Starting from the Mining Congress in 1994, through all the years, all the different science and sport events till the Large Dams Congress and with faith and smile to the future events!!!

E.V.: Thanks to God – for 20 years I have had so many best moments, that I can hardly list them.

M.V.: The General Assembly of UNICEF – very long and difficult event. At the official dinner, after all the speeches, they called me at the stage and thanked me for the good organization. It was so exciting, I could hardly breathe…

Tz.Y.: I’ll keep it for the future.

2. The hardest moment that you remember is…

Tz.P.: There were hard moments, of course, but with happy endings, so I tried to forget them very quickly

B.K.: They are also quite a lot – the robbery in our first office at Tzar Boris str., the mortgage of the present office, the lost competitions and procurements…Psychologists advise that when you feel sad and stressed you should remember your happy moments. Let’s follow this advice – it works!

E.V.: In May 2009 with the group that we sent to Brazil for the 23rd Congress of the International Commission of Large Dams (IGOLD). The group could not flight off Iguasu to Rio and I had to change their airplane tickets from Rio to Europe. I was very worried because all the planes were fully booked and the group had to stay 2 nights extra in a hotel at our expenses. At the next day, my worry grew to horror when I understood that the plane, with which our group was supposed to fly initially, had crashed!
When I finally met the group at Sofia airport, I burst to tears…

M.V.: The meeting of all spacemen and astronauts in Sofia…At the end of the conference we had to organize a dinner out of the hotel and we ordered several busses for the participants. The busses were supposed to come in front of Vitosha Hotel (now Kempinski hotel Zografski) at 6 p.m. I called the people in the bus garage several times and they assured me that the busses had left and would be soon at the meeting point. At 6:05 p.m. I called again and finally it turned out that the busses had gone to Vitosha Mountain and not to Vitosha Hotel…The participants did not undertsand a thing, we called several taxis and drove them to the restaurant.

Tz.Y.: The moment that I change the heavy bottle of water in the office.

3. What makes CIM unique, according to you?

Tz.P.: The true success in life is to work something that you love. For me CIM is a personal success and joy of the achieved, together with the most terrific team!

B.K.: If you have a problem, or just a question, say it loud in the corridor and you’ll get at least two answers.

E.V.: The people that work here – so different and so good-willed and dedicated to their work.

M.V.: That we are 20 years together!

Tz.Y.: For 20 years it could not fall apart, in spite of the huge numerical superiority of partners from the fair sex.
