On the behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 10th Balkan Congress of Microbiology/Microbiologia Balkanica 2017, Sofia, November 16-18th, 2017, I would like to extend my regards to all the researchers and scholars microbiologists from the South-Eastern European area and to wish prosperity in their field. This event which started in 1999 as a main activity of the established in 1998 Balkan Society for Microbiology (BSM) will present the newest attainments of the scientists from the Balkan countries, other parts of Europe and the globe. Along with reports of eminent scientists we anticipate a very intensive participation of young scientists which are the future of our lovely microbiology.
