The CEEC scout group organised by IHS has been active for over 20 years. It has currently some 90 member companies and the meetings are attended by 160-180 participants. The group includes a wide range of participants including majors, regional players, small and mid-size independents, niche players and start-ups, as well as NOC’s and licensing authorities.
The meetings take place twice a year, typically in early May and early October. Each event is hosted by a different member company in a different country. CEEC meetings are Central European upstream conferences with a two-and-a-half day programme. The event starts on Thursday evening with an icebreaker reception. Friday morning is host to high-level technical presentations by operators in the country or region, and afternoons are devoted to a scouting session where the companies present and discuss their activities. A geological field trip is held on Saturday.
