Internationally-recognized experts provided in-depth lectures and hands-on sessions on tissue Doppler, Doppler-and speckle-based strain and strain rate imaging, as well as three-dimensional deformation analysis and educated the course participants in all facets of image acquisition, functional analysis, and important clinical applications in both children and adults with congenital and acquired heart disease.

The aim of the course was to promote excellence in diagnosis, research, education and technical developments in cardiovascular ultrasound and other imaging modalities in wonderful spring atmosphere of green Sofia and Bulgaria.
