The main objective of the Action is the specification, development and demonstration of cost-effective ground-based integrated profiling systems suitable for future networks providing essential atmospheric observations for both climate and weather.Climate and weather observations are essential for the development of climate change policies and weather services securing the safety and quality of life of the public.

On behalf of all those who attended, may I write to thank you and your team for the excellent organisation of our COST meeting last week. Many people mentioned to me how impressed they were with the venue, the very good facilities and the smoothness and efficiency of all the arrangements.
This was an important meeting for the action; we had some major decisions to make and also to discuss the form of the final report. Thanks in no small part to your help I think we were able to do this very successfully….Thanks again.
